Nan Crouter
Nan Crouter, PhD, is the Raymond E. and Erin Stuart Schultz Dean of the College of Health and Human Development and a professor of human development at Penn State University. Her research uses longitudinal study designs and focuses on the connections between parents’ work conditions, family dynamics, and the development of school-aged children and adolescents. Currently, she collaborates on research on ethnic minority dual-earner families, as well as a large, multi-site investigation of the work and family circumstances of low-income, rural parents. With an interdisciplinary group of colleagues, Dr. Crouter participates in two studies that examine the work-family interface for employees in the hotel industry.
