  The Coordinating Center’s Data Entry and Data Management System makes managing protocols much more efficient. We provide a central location for data entry, error identification, correction, and documentation; and a secure communication tool for transferring confidential data between the CC and the sites. The majority of a protocol’s data activities can be managed using this tool. The Coordinating Center offers a number of services to support the collection, entry, management, and analysis of clean and valid data for each protocol.

  The Coordinating Center offers a secure protocol-specific website to facilitate communication between the site’s users.
  
  
• Surveys
  The Coordinating Center Survey System adds to our ability to customize solutions and provide different methods of collecting data and eliciting interaction.
  
  
• Training and Certification
  The Coordinating Center provides training and certification for Good Clinical Practices and protocol-specific training on forms administration, data entry, and data management.
  
  
• Logistics Management
  The Coordinating Center provides extensive logistics management for protocols, implemented through our protocol-specific communication websites. Websites will contain contact information, minutes, meeting schedules, to-do lists, spreadsheets, operational timelines, and project policies. E-mail functionality will include individual e-mail addresses and group distribution lists. Secure e-mail functionality will allow confidential and sensitive data to be encrypted and shared. The calendar functions will enable users to share the dates and times of planned events, and a threaded-discussion area can be used to manage communication and debate.
