Research Opportunities at TCHR

The Center for Health Research (TCHR) conducts scientific research in a wide range of health and medical care issues. We are currently making a number of strategic investments in several research areas where we have had significant international scientific impact. These investments will allow us to deepen our scientific programs in:

  • Cancer prevention, control, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, end-of-life care;
  • Health psychology with focus on tobacco control, exercise/inactivity, diet;
  • Heart disease, obesity, nutrition, metabolic syndrome, and diabetes;
  • Psychopharmacotherapy, substance abuse treatment;
  • Organizational issues, reorganization of care, diffusion and marketing; and
  • Clinical and translational research in the areas of human randomized trials and/or observational research

TCHR is seeking to identify and hire highly qualified, experienced senior or mid-career researchers who will advance our science in these areas. TCHR provides an exciting intellectual environment and opportunities for career growth. Diversity is an essential principle in the TCHR culture and we are committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer. The TCHR is located in Portland, Oregon, one of the most livable cities in the United States. Portland boasts charming neighborhoods with eclectic restaurants, a vibrant cultural life, and incredible opportunities for outdoor recreation.
