Adrianne C. Feldstein, MD, MS, Investigator
Adrianne Feldstein, MD, MS, maintains a clinical practice seeing patients at Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KPNW) and is a research physician in general public health, preventive medicine, and occupational medicine. In addition to her role as Investigator at CHR, she serves as the KPNW Assistant Medical Group Liaison for Research, and has joint appointments in the KPNW departments of Quality Management and Systems and Informatics. Dr. Feldstein’s position as liaison for research helps strengthen the ties between the clinical delivery system and the research center. It also provides a launching pad for her work in health care quality improvement, practice-based implementation, and translational research.

Her long-term interests are systems to improve the quality of care in prevention, injury, and chronic disease. Dr. Feldstein has led and participated in studies testing computerized reminder systems in health care practice and evaluating safety-related health care work practices. Dr. Feldstein heads several studies examining systems of care improvement and patient safety, particularly in the areas of treating osteoporosis, cardiovascular risk factors, and cancer screening. She has also examined how to change patient treatment, working on care reform in the areas of diabetes, hypertension, prenatal care, and tuberculosis.

Dr. Feldstein has been a KPNW physician and researcher for over 15 years. At KPNW, Dr. Feldstein was the chief of Occupational Medicine for seven years. Before that position, she held chief and medical director positions and transferred best practices in occupational medicine from KPNW to other organizations. Dr. Feldstein received her MD with distinction from the George Washington University School of Medicine and an MS in Public Health Nutrition from the Columbia University School of Public Health.
