Charles Edward Heaney
Education:
Museum Art School, Portland
University of Oregon Biography:
If ever an artist exhibited a strong sense of what the Oregon country
represents, it was Charles Heaney. He worked in many media, mastering one and
then turning to something different. Heaney adopted C.S. Price's ideal of the
simple life, with almost obsessive dedication to his art. Heaney loved eastern
Oregon, where he traveled extensively and took photos that would jog his memory
when he returned to the studio to paint the landscapes he loved.
Media:
Prints (etching), oil, watercolor, tempera
