Dr. Vesco is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist, a Kaiser Permanente physician, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She has over seven years of clinical experience with KPNW caring for normal and high-risk pregnancies. Her research focus on women’s health issues benefits from her practical insight into patient care and physician workflow.
She has worked extensively with the Oregon Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) as a co-investigator for systematic evidence reviews including the management of menopausal symptoms and screening for gestational diabetes mellitus. She leads the EPC’s systematic review of cervical cancer screening for the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). Dr. Vesco is also conducting research with the CDC to study pregnancy-associated morbidities (particularly those attributable to factors such as obesity and gestational diabetes). She is a co-investigator on the Study of Osteoporotic Fractures.
Dr. Vesco arrived at Permanente Medical Group in 2001 after having received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine and training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. She maintains her practice at the Mt Talbert medical office and Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. She completed a Women’s Health Fellowship and an MPH degree with a focus in epidemiology and biostatistics.
