Health related quality of life for cancer survivors with stomas—STOMAS

Sixty-two percent of colorectal cancer patients will survive five years or longer. Many of these patients, especially those with low rectal cancers, will have permanent intestinal stomas. This multi-method study incorporates quantitative (survey) and qualitative (focus group) research methods to study long-term colorectal cancer survivors (> 5 years after diagnosis). It is examining health-related quality of related to intestinal stomas.
