Dental PBRN: Retrospective cohort study of osteonecrosis of the jaw—PRONTO
Jeffrey Fellows,
Principal Investigator
Christina Gullion,
Co-Investigator
Recent reports of osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) have associated this otherwise rare, but potentially morbid, lesion to treatment with a relatively new class of drugs, the bisphosphonates (BPs). The DPBRN is retrospectively studying this topic in a cohort of patients from two large HMOs (Kaiser Permanente PDA and HealthPartners of Minnesota) connected to the Dental Practice-Based Research Network (DPBRN).
