Diabetics and Drug-Associated Hyperkalemia: Effect of Laboratory Monitoring—Hyper K

This study determines the incidence of hyperkalemia-associated adverse outcomes among ambulatory patients with diabetes newly initiating angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI), angiotensin receptor blockers, and/or aldosterone receptor antagonists and to explore whether an association exists between monitoring serum potassium and hyperkalemia-associated adverse outcomes.
