She is the author of the book Under the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on American Lives and on the Health of Our Nation. Her book tells the full story of racial health disparities in America by revealing the toll racism takes on individuals and public health.

We disseminate our findings throughout the scholarly liter ature and scientific communities through such means as journal articles, book chapters, and guest editorials.

 Funding

The Center recieves most of its funding from federal agiencies such as the National Insitutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, and the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality. Other important sources include private foundations, industry, and Kaiser permanente itself.
