Ann Turner, MD

Dr. Turner is associate medical director of Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, which provides more than 132,000 office visits to more than 35,000 patients a year in Oregon's Washington and Yamhill Counties at its four primary care clinics, three dental offices, and three school-based health centers. It also provides outreach to schools and community health fairs, and, through its mobile site, to migrant and seasonal farmworkers at local camps. Dr. Turner is a founding member of Safety Net West, a safety-net, primary-care focused practice-based research network that is housed at OCHIN. Her research interests include best practices in diabetes, childhood obesity, and primary care practice redesign. Dr. Turner attended University of Southern California School of Medicine and completed an internship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She subsequently had a residency at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center and a fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
